05/02/2009 - Fes, Morocco (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Anabel Medina Garrigues captured her first title of 2009 with a 6-0, 6-1 drubbing of Ekaterina Makarova in the final of the Moroccan Grand Prix.
The top-seeded Medina Garrigues was the runner-up to Gisela Dulko at this clay court tournament last year but made sure it wouldn't happen again. The Spaniard made quick work of her Russian counterpart, dismantling the sixth seed in just one hour for her ninth career WTA singles title.
Medina Garrigues completely dominated from the outset, winning the first set in a mere 24 minutes. She won 25 of the 34 points played.
The second set was more of the same, as the 26-year-old Medina Garrigues breezed through the first four games before Makarova finally won one. The 20- year-old Russian broke serve in the fifth game of the second set but could not sustain the momentum and had her serve broken in the very next game before the Spaniard quickly finished it off in the ensuing game.
Makarova, appearing in her first final at the WTA Tour level, won just 21 points to 51 for her opponent.
Medina Garrigues, who claimed a first prize of $37,000, improved to 9-5 all- time in WTA finals and has now won both meetings against Makarova.

Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl Odds
Will he or won't he? Now that the Dallas Cowboys have a new head coach in Wade Phillips, the big question will be: Does Terrell Owens stay with the team.
Jerry Jones continues to suggest that Terrell Owens will remain with the team.
"I've said that he's back, he's here, he's under contract," Jones said. "In the interviews I've just been through (to hire a new coach), it was very clear to me how highly he's thought of and how much of an impact he had on our offensive success."
Just to be sure though, Terrell Owens cleared out his locker and removed his name plate.
Terrell Owens was among the Cowboys most productive players this past season, catching 85 passes for 1,180 yards and a league-best 13 touchdowns.
But T.O. is due a $3 million roster bonus in June, then a $5 million salary this season. Cutting him before then would save a lot of money and headaches.
Aside from the questions surrounding Terrell Owens, the oddsmakers at MySportsbook.com have concerns over starting quarterback Tony Romo's state of mind and whether he will remain a starting quarterback. It is also not known how players will adjust to new head coach, Wade Phillips.

MySportsbook.com refunds all bets on Oakland, Green Bay and Tampa Bay from NFL week one.
(September 14) – Week one of NFL action saw three teams go scoreless for the first time since 1977. Another four were unable to get a touchdown and almost half of the underdogs covered the spread. Those three teams saved bettors at MySportsbook.com from losing out completely, thanks to the company’s unique NFL Shutout Rule -- which ensures that if the team you backed goes scoreless, your wager is refunded.
Sportsbook refunded tens of thousands of dollars to customers who bet on Oakland, Green Bay and Tampa Bay, the three teams that stunk up the field so badly that their fans and backers never had a chance to get up from their couches and cheer. In the spirit of the low scoring start to the season, odds makers at the world’s largest online sportsbook and casino have set odds on how many total shutouts there will be this season.
MySportsbook.com has posted updated sports betting lines for week two of the season. Ben Roethlisberger’s health status is still questionable, so Willie Parker will try to lead Pittsburgh again as they travel to Jacksonville as a one point favorite. After beating up on his little brother last week, Peyton Manning will look to lead the Colts to victory against Houston. Indianapolis is a whopping 13.5 favorite in the match-up.
Seattle, last year’s highest scoring team, showed the power of their defense with their gritty 9-6 win in Motown over the ravenous Lions. They take their act back home to the comforts of Qwest Field where they will face the resurgent Arizona Cardinals. The Seahawks are favored by a touchdown.
